Sustainable Bridal

Mizz Rio is deeply dedicated to embracing sustainable and ethical practices in our operations. In a world still dominated by the fast fashion industry, we understand the increasing importance of making conscious decisions within our bridal offerings.

We've implemented various sustainability-driven approaches in our bridal store. One of our core principles is operating on a per-order basis, ensuring that we create an item only when it's truly needed. When you place your order, we then craft your piece to your precise specifications, significantly reducing waste by eliminating excess inventory.

Regarding our wedding attire, we tailor each piece based on your individual body measurements. This approach allows us to cut fabric to exact dimensions, rather than relying on standard sizing, thereby minimizing fabric usage in the production process. Moreover, we encourage post-wedding rewear and provide guidance on how to incorporate the garment into your wardrobe for many years to come.

Our philosophy resonates with the idea that the most sustainable product is the one not produced unnecessarily. We meticulously create each piece only when there's a genuine demand. While our preferred lead time for wedding outfits is 8 months, we are also proficient in meeting tight timelines. So, if you're concerned about timing, fret not – we can still work our magic. Please don't hesitate to get in touch with your specific requirements.

Our product offerings are diverse and extensive, limited only by your imagination. To ensure specialized expertise and unique choices, we collaborate with various manufacturers. Recently, I had the privilege of visiting one of our manufacturing partners in India, a relationship I've nurtured over the past few years. My visit aimed to gain insights into their production processes and establish a more robust working relationship.

During my visit, I explored high-end fabric markets for a couple of days, and the selection, colors, and vibrancy were truly awe-inspiring. The abundance of options and the limited time were a delightful challenge. Although I initially planned to purchase fabric on the first day, the array of choices left me practically overwhelmed. I captured numerous photos and videos of the fabrics and returned to the hotel to evaluate and make purchasing decisions. It was almost an impossible task – I wanted them all! Everything from the glimmering sparkles and sequins to the vibrant colors caught my eye.

Spending a few days at the factory allowed me to witness firsthand the intricacies of pattern cutting, drawing, and hand beading. I had the pleasure of meeting the highly skilled and cooperative employees at the factory. Our culinary journey during the visit was equally delightful, with sumptuous takeout from Haldirams. The flavors and spices were a treat for our taste buds.

Both the factory owner and I worked closely working through my new pieces (coming soon!). The process flowed effortlessly as we sat side by side, meticulously crafting each element of these upcoming additions to my collection.

We remain steadfast in our commitment to reducing our carbon footprint whenever possible. We firmly believe that each of us must make conscious choices regarding what we wear and use.

As always, please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions you may have.
