Ninety minutes with Mags, in private. You try finished pieces on your own body, you talk about the day, and nobody asks you to decide anything.
What happens when you walk in
It starts with a conversation about your wedding, your style, what you have already seen and how you want to feel. Then you try original pieces: gowns, corsets, skirts, trousers, tailoring, capes and veils. Some brides find an existing design they love. Some customise one. Some use the appointment to begin something entirely new. You leave with a clear direction, a sense of the investment, and no decision to make on the day.

Priced individually
Every Mizz Rio look is priced individually, depending on structure, fabric and detail. You receive a clear quote at your consultation, before anything is commissioned.
Included in every quote
Design, fabric sourcing, full construction, fittings and finishing. There are no hidden costs.
Not included
Alterations beyond a hem adjustment are quoted separately. Your piece is made to your measurements at the time of production, and bodies change over twelve to eighteen months. Alterations are quoted on what is needed when the piece is finished on you.
Payment
A 50% booking fee secures your order and your place in the production schedule. The balance is due before the first fitting. Bank transfer and card are both fine.

Mags designs in Dublin and master ateliers construct. Updates come by WhatsApp or email as the piece comes together, and complex designs get a toile first.

The consultation
Ninety minutes, one-to-one with Mags in the studio or over Zoom. You try finished pieces, shapes and fabrics. You do not need a vision, and no decision is made on the day.

The proposal
A written design proposal arrives by email: direction, sketches, fabric, a clear quote and a timeline. Take it home and sit with it. A 50% booking fee confirms your slot.

Design and making
Mags designs in Dublin; master ateliers construct. Complex pieces get a toile first. You get updates as it comes together.

The finished piece comes to the studio for one or two fittings, then final adjustments and pressing.

What to bring
Come as you are
- Nothing, if you have nothing. Most brides arrive without a plan.
- Screenshots, Pinterest boards, saved reels, magazine tears, photographs of things you hate. They all help.
- Underwear you would wear on the day, if you have it. Shoes do not matter yet.

Common questions
Asked before booking
Do I need to know what I want before I come?
No. Most brides do not. The consultation is designed to help you find out. Come with a clear vision, a vague instinct, a list of things you hate, or nothing at all.
Will I have to try things on?
Only if you are comfortable. There are finished gowns, corsets, skirts, trousers, tailoring, capes and veils in the studio, and we work through shapes and fabrics to see what feels right. Nothing happens until you are ready.
Can I come on my own?
Yes, and many brides prefer it. You have the studio to yourself: no other appointments, no audience. If you want to bring your mam or a friend, there is room for one guest comfortably. Just say so when booking.
What does a Mizz Rio look cost?
Every Mizz Rio design is priced individually, depending on structure, fabric and detail. We discuss investment clearly at your consultation, so you know exactly where you stand before anything is commissioned.
What is included in the quote?
Design, fabric sourcing, full construction, fittings and finishing. Alterations beyond a hem adjustment are quoted separately, because your piece is made to your measurements at the time of production and bodies change over a year.
How far ahead should I book?
Twelve to eighteen months before the wedding for a full bespoke piece. An existing Mizz Rio design, made to your measurements, can often be made in eight to ten. If the date is closer than that, ask anyway; we will be honest about what is achievable.
